Veneers
A dental veneer is a thin shell that is made of porcelain, composite or ceramic which is crafted to match the surrounding teeth. Unlike crowns, which encapsulate the entire exterior of a tooth, veneers are smaller and require little or no removal of tooth structure. Veneers are pressed on to the existing teeth with a dental bonding material to reshape and repair chips fractures, discolorations, or poorly shaped teeth. Veneers are sometimes used to create a “Hollywood smile” because they can cover your existing teeth and transform your appearance.
Crowns
A Crown is a dental restoration that caps a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are needed for badly chipped or cracked teeth, or when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. Crowns are made of porcelain, gold, or a combination of both. Crowns take two visits to complete. Impressions are made to personalize a crown for your bite, and then a temporary crown is made, while our dental lab creates a state-of-the-art crown that matches the bite, shape, and color of your existing teeth. The crown is then bonded to your tooth using dental cement.
Bridges
Dental bridges are used to close the gap left by a missing tooth. A bridge is made up of an artificial tooth with a crown on either side to hold the artificial tooth in place and replace or ‘bridge’ the space of the missing tooth. Bridges are an especially good option of the teeth adjacent to the gap need crowns in the near future. Often, patients that would otherwise opt for a dental implant to replace a missing tooth, yet want to avoid the complex placement process, choose dental bridges instead. Bridges help support a proper bite and stop remaining teeth from shifting in the mouth. Bridges reduce further bite problems and help maintain the shape of the face.
Dental implants
Dental implants are the most effective and long-lasting option for replacing missing or severely damaged teeth. The dental implant process occurs over several visits over a period of months. X-rays and impressions of the teeth and jaw allow us to determine a custom plan. A dental implant made of titanium with artificial roots, is surgically placed into the jawbone while the area is numb. The implant and bone fuse to each other over a period of months while the healing process takes place. Once this process is complete, a crown is placed over the implant. With proper oral hygiene, eating habits and regular dental visits, much success can be achieved with dental implants.
Implant hybrids
Implant hybrids are an excellent option for patients missing many or all teeth. Hybrids are an innovative solution for replacing rows of teeth and are superior to traditional dentures. But unlike traditional dentures, hybrid implant dentures are fixed into your mouth using a set of four dental implants – titanium posts that fuse with your jawbone. The dental implants support a titanium or gold bar that anchors a set of acrylic teeth in place. The bar is permanently fixed in one place, which means your dentures won’t shift or move around, allowing your teeth to feel, look and function like natural healthy teeth.
